Ok, I have always know that Carter was quite the eater, and I have always playfully called him my little monkey. Well, tonight he lived up to his nickname. After eating TWO whole jars of baby food I gave him a half of a banana. I have never given him one without cutting it into little pieces, but he has been doing so good eating I thought he would do okay. Well, he did great, but after one half he was ready for more! He ended up eating an entire banana. Now I don't know wether to call him a monkey or piggie!
This is good!

Carter is pulling up........
on EVERYTHING! His favorite spots include the coffee table, the fireplace (yeeks, we have to watch him close so he doesn't do that), the surround sound speakers (another bad spot), his bed, and his new place- the couch. He pulled up by himself on the couch for the first time yesterday. Fenway doesn't look too excited that he is now able to get to her safe place. He just loves to pet her! I guess she will have to move to the bed for real peace and quiet.

Weekend at the lake
This weekend we went to see Kris' parents at their lakehouse in Oklahoma. We had a nice time and brought the dogs for the first time. We usually leave them at home because of fleas, but with the cold weather the fleas were dead! The dogs had a GREAT time and got to be country dogs!
Fenway the beagle model.
This is where her nose was the entire trip!
Nanny goat who lives across the street. She made this funny face at me and Kris.
She wanted to be friends with Fenway.

Just some cute pictures
I am having a lot of fun with my new camera, but I have one problem........I have too many pictures I like! I have trouble choosing just a few to share. Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from this week.
By the way, Carter has started crawling the "right" way and is so proud of himself!
Sweet boy looking at the TV. I love how you can see his bottom teeth here.

Battle wounds
Over the last week Carter has gotten some "battle wounds" from all his trials (and errors) at standing. It seems like everything in his world has changed functions. They have all changed into something he can use to help stand. On Saturday he was trying to pull up on the closet doors. He lost his balance and hit his head on the hinge on the door and got a pretty big bruise. Poor baby! He was pretty tough and after a little comfort from mommy, he was off trying to do it again. It has been so fun to watch his personality come out. I can already tell that he is going to be a VERY determined little boy.
Can you see the bruise on his head? Look on the left side of the picture.

His bouncy chair has turned into a pulling up toy!

It happened.........
probably the grossest thing that can happen when you have a baby. Last night I was giving Carter a bath. He was happily playing, and I was reading my People magazine (yes, I do that sometimes- I can still see him) and I looked up and saw something floating in the water. Now for a moment I thought it was a green bean from dinner....but upon further investigation (it was a very "Caddy Shack" moment) I saw more floating in the water and realized that Carter had POOPED in the bathtub. Gross!! I quickly scooped him out of the water and put him on the bathmat, and put Cloroix on everything that even came close to the bathtub (toys, soap, shampoo etc) while trying not to vomit. Carter didn't seem the slightest bit concerned, and happily went back into the bathtub happy as ever. Gross!

Childhood fun
My little brother Coltin has a lot of friends in his neighborhood. Two of his best friends to play with are Sabrina and Seirra. They have so much fun together. Last Sunday Carter got to get into the fun!
Carter, Seirra, Sabrina and COlt. It's so funny, Seirra always wants to hold Carter, but it seems like he is almost as big as her!
