CJ's family

When Carter's aunt, Kathy found out that we named Carter, Carter Jackson she gave him the nickname "CJ" which just happens to be Carter's late great grandfather's initials. Kris didn't really like the nickname (no offense to great grandpa), so Kathy said she was going to call him CJ and it would stick. So, for Christmas, Kathy had us all shirts made that say "CJ's mom, CJ's dad" etc. She even had a onesie made for little man himself. We all had to have pictures made with him and our new shirts! Thank you Aunt Kathy! We love our shirts!

Eating Daddy's hat

After pictures and before we left Gram and Gramps wanted to take Carter on a golf cart ride. We had to bundle Carter up, and cut the ride short, because it was SO cold!

Christmas in OK!

This weekend we went up to Oklahoma for Christmas with Kris' family. We had a nice time in the cold weather! Carter got to open up his first Christmas presents, and we got to visit with family. Carter also decided to try out biting me as I fed him. Ouch! That is going to stop, or he is going to be cut off quick! It's a longhorn Christmas!
I love how you can see his bottom 2 teeth in this picture!

Mommy and Carter have matching shirts!

Fun with friends

On Friday Carter and I met Erica, Emma, and Ella at Grapevine Mills. We don't usually meet on Friday nights, but things are so busy it was our only chance. I think it is so special that Erica and I make time to hang out. I really appreiate Kris and Sam's (especially when he watches the kids) understanding of this. We had a fun time walking around, trying not to spend money. That Children's Place Outlet gets us every time! They had 50% off sale prices. They have SUCH great deals, that I got Carter 2 shirts for a total of $3.17! It is crazy! Erica was also able to get the girls some really cute things, incluing PRECIOUS jean skits. Oh, I wish I had a little girl to dress! We ate dinner at Chili's and left a HUGE mess for the poor waiter. Emma and Ella were so funny. They were determined to put sweetener into their water cups. :) What a fun time with friends! Carter eating his menu at Chili's.
Emma Claire ready to eat- my flash wouldn't work for Ella's picture. :(

Seven months

It seems like every month I say that I can't believe that another month has past, but once agian it's true! It seems like every month I love Carter more. (I can't imagine how I will feel when he's 18!) He is SUCH a precious little boy. He seems to just spead love and joy wherever he goes. This month he grew 2 teeth and became mobile- even if he is going backwards. He has mastered baby food, including solids like crackers, his personal favorite. He squeels whe I get one out. His hair is really growing out, and getting so thick, and crazy. He has a bald spot on the back of the head, which I always said that I hated babies to have, because it looked like they weren't held enough..........well I knnow that's not true about my baby. :) He continutes to melt my heart, by only reaching for me. He loves to curl his lip, like Elvis and really has a sense of humor. I can't wait to see what next month brings!

Concert and breakfast

On Friday night my mom, Erica, and ventured out to Deep Ellum for Austin's concert at The Door. They did a great job! I was so proud of my baby brother! You can check out their music at www.myspace/newcityhorizon.com. Austin lead singer, guitar
Me and Austin. Can you tell we're related?

Carter started flipping to his tummy to sleep! He also started cutting his second tooth!

On Sunday we went to breakfast with my mom and Stacy for Stacy's birthday. Mom and I shared an egg sandwhich. Yummy!!

I wish to someday be..........

a good photographer. I am always looking at these blogs of these WONDERFUL photographers. I really aspire to be that. I have 2 problems, no formal training and an average camera. I hope to change both of these things. I am going to save my Christmas money and birthday money, and hopefully be able to purchase the Nikon camera I am dreaming of. (the D80 would be great, but I may only be able to afford a D40). Second, when I get my camera, I am going to start taking classes! My goal is to someday be able to take pictures on the side for family and friends. I always look at sites and feel inspired to take pictures, and mine don't turn out so well. Here as some of my blurry results! Look at that cute bottom!

Cheerios

Carter has mastered the milesone of picking up a cheerio and getting it into his mouth! It still looks a little clumsy, but he can do it. Yea!

Fenway andWrigley have figured out the best place to be when Carter's eating!
