Milk goes on your tray

Carter has gotten in a really bad (and annoying) habbit of throwing his cup on the floor when he is finished with it. So, I am really working with him on telling him "your milk goes on your tray" and helping him put it on there. This morning he did it on his own a few times........only to throw it on the floor 5 minutes later. I am going to be consistnt and hopefully the trend will catch on!

Lunch with friends and later a swim!

This afternoon Carter and I met Jess, Missy, Colin and Julie for lunch at the new Mattitos right down the street from my house. I was a yummy meal with great conversation. I don't have any group shots, but I did have a mini "photo shoot" with Carter in Frisco Square before lunch.

Sweet Colin- I told Carter, "Say hi baby" meaning for him to say hi to Colin and he looked at me and waved- too cute. He knows that he is my baby. :)


Later today when I was finished with my swimming lessons, we went over to Mimi and Pop's house. I then took Carter, Colt, Sierra and Sabrina down to their neighborhood pool. It was so cute, Sierra pushed Carter the whole way there. We had a fun time, and I beat Colt in holding my breath and swimming across the pool the fastest. Sierra said it was probably because I am a swim teacher- you think so?

Bathtime now has a new meaning.....

practice for the pool time! Since I have been taking Carter to the swimming pool regularly, bath time has changed. He loves putting his head under the faucet and blowing bubbles as shown below. He really is quite the fish!











Here is Carter blowing bubbles in the bathtub.......it's kinda hard to get on camera. Every time he blows his bubbles, he looks up at me and smiles. :)

Summer is here!

Well, I have yet to blog since my summer break officially began and I think it's because I have been SO busy! I decided to do a few swim lessons this summer and they are all during the first 2 weeks of my summer break! This has been nice because Carter still gets to see my mom a little. I have really enjoyed this week, here are a few highlights....sorry I don't have more pictures!
-We've been swimming 3 times- twice at the Frisco pool and once with Stacy at Rosemeade.
-Carter has started saying- "woof" when asked what the dog says
-Carter can now identify his: head, ear, nose, and shoe
-We have been to Babies and books at the library
-we have been to the Splash pad once
-Carter loves to blow bubbles- in the pool and in the tub!

I love how you can see his pretty brown eyes here. I think they have finally decided to be brown like me- yea!


This is one of the many "bad habbits" that Carter has! Others include playing in the dog's water bowls and throwing everything!

Wedding bells!

I'll be hearing wedding bells ringing next summer! Two of my good friends were recently engaged! Last night we went to eat at Gloria's to celebrate Tolson's engagement. We had a fun and yummy dinner! I am so excited for her and Michael and I know soon after those wedding bells ring- we'll be hearin about a baby on the way!!

Slowly, but surely

I am starting to get the hang of shooting in manuel. I was practicing today, but Carter wasn't being too cooperative, but I am starting to figure out how to use my settings with natural light. Yea!
