Off come the training wheels!

A few weeks ago we took off the training wheels off of Carter's bike. He did good that day, but was still really nervous and could't get himself started. We held off a few weeks and finally got it back out today. After a few tries, he just took off and figured it out. I was SO proud of him and it has opened a whole new door of fun!

A lot of the neighborhood kids were out and they had somuch fun playing. We were outside for over 3 hours! Grace and Trenton brought out some old party favors and they played "party" for the longest time.

Wonderful Wednesday

Today was just one of those days when I think about how lucky I am at this point in my life. There really isn't anything that could make it much better (besides a money tree, haha!) I knowit sounds cliche, but I really am living my dream right now. I absolutly love staying homw with my babies. I love the simple day to day activites that being a stay at home mom brings. I think because I worked all when Carter was so little, I am able to really truely appreciate it. Today my day involved:
a morning run, packing Carter's lunch, dropping Carter off at school (where I got to watch him run in in excitement and kiss him goodbye), taking Abby to the library for Babies and Books, eating lunch with Abby at Subway, running an errand in the mall, picking Carter up at school and then letting him play on the playground, coming homw and taking a walk, dinner, baths and bed. Ahhh, that's the life. :) I am trying to not take one moment for granted, because I know soon enough it will all be over!

And I had to include this picture of Abby from today, because I thought she looked so cute!

"No"

DSC_0344_edited-1
Today I was trying to get a cute picture of Abby in this big bow. Everytime I put the bow on her head, she would pull it down like in the picture above. After a few time of putting it on her head, stepping back and her pulling it off, and me telling her, "No", she started saying "No" herself as soon as she pulled it down. So funny, little stinker. :) She was not in the mood for photos as you can see....

Fun Friday at Arbor Hills

We met some friends at Arbor Hills on Friday. It was windy and chiily, but sunny. We had a great time that included a picnic and a mile long hike, of and lots of fun playing on the playground!

Weekend at the lake

We met Kris' parents up at the lake this weekend. I did a terrbile job documenting and only took this one picture! It does document the weekend well though. This is a picture of Carter playing his new "Cars Trouble" game with Meemaw and Pop pop. They brought it for his as a surprise and they played all weekend!

10 months

It's a little late, but here it is!
At 10 months Abby is:
DSC_0257_edited-2
Eating a lot of different things! She loves: babyfood (squash, mixed veggeis, garden veggie, sweet potatoes), oatmeal, blueberries, bananas, yougurt, yoogurt melts, green beans, Cheerios, goldfish, cereal bars and more.
DSC_0247_edited-2
She is 19 pounds, Wears a size 2 diaper, 6-12 month clothes, size 1 1/2 shoe.
DSC_0255_edited-2
She doesn't crawl, but scoots on her bottom. She pulls up on everything and gets where she wants!
DSC_0258_edited-2
She is really trying to talk! She says dog, dada, mama, Carter. She waves opening and closing her hand. She uses this sign to say hi, bye and also when she is is finished with something. She defiantly uses it with meaning and on her own terms.
DSC_0259_edited-2
She loves the dogs and when she is upset, all you have to say is where are the dogs and she will stop and look for them. When she see them she will say dog-dog and pat the ground to call them to her.
DSC_0260_edited-1
She loves to give kisses and will say awwwww and lean in and give an openmouth kiss.
DSC_0266_edited-2
Abby LOVES her brother. She wants to do whatever he does. He can make her laugh like noone else!
DSC_0267_edited-2
Abby only has her two bottom teeth still. I feel like I have been saying her top teeth are coming in for the longest time. I can see them under the gums (all four top ones) but they still haven't broken through.
DSC_0268_edited-2
We fianlly had to lower her crib because everyonw in a while she is standing up when we come it.
DSC_0275_edited-2
Abby doesn't like to be rocked to sleep. I have tried, but she just wiggles. I just lay her down and sometimes she scream for ten seconds, then passes out. the other times, she just rolls on her side and goes to sleep!
DSC_0271_edited-1
Her normal schedule is something like this:
7:30 wake up and nurse
8-9:45 playtime (and on school days tale Carter to school)
9:45- breakfast- oatmean with blueberries/bananas
10-12:45 nap
12- lunch
Then they afternoon is playtime and usually a nap in the car somehow.
6:00 dinner
6:30 bath
7:00 nurse and bed
