Halloween fun!

When we asked Carter what he wanted to be this year, he immediatly said, "an alligator!" Kris found him the cutest alligator costume. He was soooo excited to get it, but when it came time for Halloween, he didn't want to put it on! He kept saying he wanted to do Halloween tomorrow. With a little bribary, he put it on. We first went around my mom's neighborhood for a little bit.

He loved walking around chasing the big kids. When we came to a spooky house, he would say, "They are just decorations." Every time he would walk away from a house, he would say, "Them gave me candy!" He was suprised every time!

Then we came home and tirck or treated with daddy in our neighborhood. The houses with light were few and far between, so weird! We went to the end of our block and then Carter wanted to go home and take his costume off. He's not real big on dressing up.....kinda strange!

Daddy and Carter. Carter wanted daddy to be Josh Hamilton for Haloween, so Kris wore his Rangers hat, He had paused the game to go trick or treating, and people kept telling him the score, though he didn't want to know it!

Carter and I had a day off on Monday, so we joined Brady and Grace at the Arboretum. We love all the pumpkins!

Pumpkin Patch!

This year I have been SO busy (and tired- all.the.time)that we only visited one small pumpkin patch. I usually try to visit a few of them, including a fun one with animals and hay rides, but sadly I didn't get to it, so this had to do. Carter had fun and immediatly found his perfect pumpkin. It wasn't the prettiest, but for some reason he was immediatly drawn to it!

Doesn't he look so cute in his Halloween shirt? I have to mention that I had to bribe him to wear this shirt and shorts. I had to promise that he could change clothes as soon as we got back to the car. He wanted to wear "shorts" (the only thing he considers "shorts" are basketball shorts- with a Nike swoosh) and a basketball shirt.

The reason why I've been such a BAD Blogger......

Baby Henry due April 20, 2011!
baby Henry
I have always been pretty good about keeping up with my blog, but this school year I have been SO drained, I haven't had any energy! I couldn't figure out what was making me so tired.....then on Labor Day, I got the reason
IMAG0241
We were SO surprised, but super excited, and I then understood why I have been sooooo tired. I was anxious to go to the doctor, but the earliest appointment was the following Friday, I had to wait over a week and a half to see how things were! I was so nervous for some reason. I was so happy when we were called back for a sonogram and we saw that sweet picture! We got a perfect report from the doctor!
Last week I went back to the doctor and got to hear my sweet baby's heart beating at 150 bpm. It was such a sweet sound. Once again everything looked perfect!
This pregnancy has been very different from my first. Besides being so tired, I have been so nausea us. It is finally starting to get a little better, but I defiantly don't feel myself. The first couple of weeks all I could eat were bean and cheese nachos- weird! Along with that one craving, I have so many food aversions. Certain things make me sick to even think about: BBQ, Chickfila (weird b/c it's usually my fav), chicken, Chinese food, pizza, milk...the list goes on. I also feel like I started to show right away. I am now at that really in between stage where I just look fat, no fun! Anyway, I am ready to feel better, but I know that the yuckiness means that my body is doing what it should. We will find out the gender in December, but Kris has the idea to have the sonographer write the gender on a piece of paper in an envelope so we can open it up on Christmas morning, I am just not sure I can wait that long!
Oh, I have also have had some crazy dreams, like dreaming the baby (which was a boy) came out looking like a fox and I was the only one that found it odd in the dream-weird- I should write them down....that is for a whole other post!
My goal is to try to post more...we'll see how that goes!
