While we were at the wedding, Carter went up to the lake with Kris' parents. We went to pick him up on Sunday and spent some time at the lake. It was hot, but so nice out there!

Of course Carter loved throwing rocks in the lake.

Sweet boy!

We did a little swimming too!

Preschool Summer Camp!

I decided to work the little 2 week Summer Camp at the Preschool where my mom taught before Carter was born. I am super glad that I decided to do it, because my mom is going to start teaching there again a few times a week next school year and bring Carter with her. I think it will be really good for him socially, but man this week was hard! Carter had a really hard time with me leaving him! He got better every day, but still cried. Man, that's heartbreaking! Every morning when we were driving to school, he would say, "Go Ma's house!" He really wasn't into going to school. We have 4 more days left, so hopefully we will get to a point where he doesn't cry at all! I wanted a picture in front of his classroom, but he wasn't into that, so here's a picture of him playing in my room before the first day of school. He loved to play with the dolls....too funny!

Future pitcher?

Carter has always been obsessed with throwing balls. He can throw them so far and so hard! It is SO cute to watch his technique improve, without any coaching (I mean, he's only 2!). I can't help but picture his in a pitcher's uniform someday! He pacticed his skills today thowing bread to the ducks. Check out his leg!

He can throw lefty too!

Finally!

Carter is turning into a fish. He was SUCH a fish last summer and this year he has been really apprehensive. Now, I have taught swimming lessons for 15 plus years, but I can't seem to follow my own rules of thumb when it comes to my own child. I am such a softie with him!! The first day we were in the water I pushed him a little too far and then he wanted nothing to do with me in the water. So, I have gone with a different approach.......I am going to let him experiment on his own, and then when he gets more comfortable, I am going to teach him more. Well, tonight he made huge progress.....check out my little fish!!! Oh, and please vote on my poll.......I am stressing about potty training, but I just don't think he's ready yet!! Rolling under the water!
