11 months

DSC_0178_edited-1
Oh my goodness, how can this be Abby's last monthly post before she turns one? This year has gone by so fast, I can't even believe it. I keep feeling Abby just keeps getting better with time, she is truly a joy. She is learning so much and changing so fast.
At 11 months Abby:
DSC_0174_edited-2
*has two bottom teeth and a half of a tooth on the top left and I can see the other three teeth right under the gums.
*wears mostly 6-12 month clothes and some 3-6 month clothes, size 2 shoe (it's still a little big), size 3 diaper (but once again it's huge on her. She is stilll dainty and petite.)
DSC_0173_edited-1
*doesn't crawl, but scoots everywhere on her booty like a little monkey. She pulls up and cruises on everything. She hasn't taken any steps.
DSC_0169_edited-1
*Points at everything and babbles as she points like she is trying to tell you something. She loves to look at pictures in frames and when she wakes up, points to the frames on her shelf and wants to look at them. She is starting to identify a lot of words. We have a book with all sorts of pictures and she can point to the baby, a banana and a ball. She wants to talk so bad. She says: Carter, mama, dada, dog, baby (and loves to give her baby kisses). She says dada with different voice inflection all the time. She also says "muh" which means "more" "I want that" or "I want a drink." When she sees a dog, she pats her leg like she's telling the dog to come here. She waves with purpose and will look at strangers and wave, walk up to the dgs and waves and the sweetest thing, when I am nursing her, she looks up at me and waves.

*as such a little piggy. She likes to eat everything but baby food. I try to give it to her first, but lately can't get much into her. Her favorite foods are: oatmeal, Cheerios, yogurt melts, cheese, turkey, yogurt, rice, refried beans, green beans, bananas (her favorite) and really anything we are eating. She loves to drink water and milk out of a cup and nurses just twice a day, in the morning and night.

*is a good sleeper. At night she sleeps from about 7pm-8am. She takes a long morning nap around 10 and then will do a catnap in the afternoon, often times in the car. She is pretty go with the flow and will really adjust to any schedule I force her to be on.

*is so sweet. She loves to give kisses and loves to be kissed. She is still pretty clingy to me, but is getting better.

*loves her brother! He can make her laugh like no other and she will go up and randomly pat him, it's so sweet!

Just lately she has decided she doesn't like bows in her hair. She will leave them in a lot of the time. When she pulls them out, I usually put it right back in. A lot of times, she takes it out and then puts it backon top of her head. I am fianlly able to get her hair in a little ponytail and she will usually keep it in better that way!
So, that is Abby at 11 months...next up will be one year, AHHHH!

Oklahoma Getaway

DSC_0181_edited-1
My mom, Colt, Carter, Abby and I took a short trip up to Norman, Oklahoma to visit my cousin Stacy. My aunt was there as well, so it was a full house. We had a great time and stayed super busy!

Stacy let us have a special treat and brought us up to her work to let the kids play. Stacy is an Ocupational Therapist at a really cool center that has about every fun toy a kid could want! They had a blast there! In the above picture, Abby had taken her bow off and is putting it back on her head, little stinker!
