Merry Christmas!

Everyone here at the Henry house had a WONDERFUL Christmas. Carter got a TON of new toys. I think his favorite gift was his ark, and his least favorite was the ball popper, it scared him. We spent Christmas Eve evening (minus Kris, he had a 102 fever) with my family. We went to church and watched Colt sing with the chior and then went to my mom's for dinner. Then we woke up early on Christmas morning and went back to my mom's house (plus Kris, he was feeling a little better) to see what Santa brought us, and then we drove to Houston. In Houston we had Christmas dinner with Kris' family, including Meemaw, Pawpaw and Sissy from Midland. We spent the next few days in Katy, the headed home today, Friday. Tomorrow we will have Christmas with my grandmother. I will post pictures later. :)

My sweet baby boy

I had fun with my camera this afternoon. I just love the rolls on my sweet baby boy. As you can see from the pictures, he is going to be crawling ANY second! I can also see one of his top teeth coming in. Oh, he is growing up! Have I mentioned in my blog, that I SWEAR he says "da" (rhymes with ma) when he see a dog. Kris says I am making it up, but I swear it's true! Tonight when he was eating he was dropping fruit puffs to his "das" from his highchair. :) sweet baby boy

ready to crawl!

Okay, these next pictures document Carter makng his way UNDER his bed and getting stuck there. He is such a funny guy!

I rescued him from under the bed, and he went back!
Here's my attempt at getting a picture of Carter's bottom teeth, before the top come in!

Sing a long and Frosty Play

Friday I had the great idea to take Carter up to school for our holiday sing a long. I thought he would love seeing all the kids. Well, unfortunatly he had a cold AND the sing a long was during his nap time. While he looked super cute in his Santa outfit, he was not super friendly. He even fell asleep during the sing-a-long even throught all the lound singing.

Friday night my mom, Colt, Erica, Caden, Carson, Carter and I went to see our annual Christmas play a Casa Manana. I think this is our fourth year to go. It is such a fun tradition. The play was called Frosty and was great! Carter did pretty well, he was best during the singing parts, but once again, he was tired. Getting pictures after the play was a HUGE challenege. All the boys were being wild. It's hard for me to believe that next year Carter will be running around with Cade, Colt and Carson.

Carter, Carson, Caden, and Colt. It's amazing that they are all looking! Right before this, I was shaking a tic tac continer to get Carter's attention, and they spiled out everywhere! It's always an adventure!

Adventure with Santa

I have to start this blog with the word "Wow". Thursday was truly an adventure with Santa! Erica came up to PC so that Toni could show off her grandkids. The we went to get Caden, Carson, Emma, Ella, and Carter's pictures with Santa (or so I thought) at Willow Bend. Well, when we got there, the lady said that Carter couldn't even sit in Santa's lap unless we paid, and since I already had his picture made, Carter didn't participate. I think that Emma and Ella wished they could sit out too. They were not too happy to meet Santa. Anyway, we had a great time, met Santa, played on the playground, ate a Chick-fil-a and then Erica and I went to Stonebriar to shop so that she didn't have to fight the traffic. While I was driving to Stonebriar, I got a call from Katy saying that someone found one of my gifts in the parking lot at school! I was so stressed while loading Carter and all his stuff (he was crying) that I left the CUTE gift the Tolson got him beside my car, and drove off! Thank goodness someone was honest! Anyway, we had funa Stonebriar, and were exahusted when it was time to go home! Cade waiting in line to see Santa.

Lowering the crib :(

Carter is growing up. Tonight Kris had to lower his crib. The past few mornings I have come in to get him and he has been sitting up! Then at my mom's house he has figured out how to pull himself up. So...tonight to be safe, down his crib went. It actually made me really sad to put him way down in his bed tonight. I have been pretty emoitional since we saw Juno. I don't know why, but it hit me. I can't even see a sonogram without tearing up. While the thought of going through pregnancy and childbirth scares me, I can't deny a slight urge to expreience that miracle again. I don't think Kris or I are ready for that yet, right now, we just need to cherish every moment with out first baby. :)

Must See movie!

Kris and I had a date today and saw a must see movie. Juno was AWESOME! It made me laugh, it made me cry. I highly reccomend it! I loved the ending! I won't say more, I don't want to ruin it for you!

Sitting up!

Today Carter and I went to my mom's house to let crazy Chloe out out of her cage. She had been in there too long, because my parents had gone to Collins' college graduation. Well, while I was letting Chloe run off some of her energy, Carter practiced going from laying on his tummy to sitting up. It was hard work! Carter in his cute reindeer outfit I got last year.
