Annual trip to Austin

Above is a picture of Carter in the leaves in Erica's yard before our big trip. On Friday Erica and I took our annual shopping trip to Austin. This is at least our sixth year going. We even went when Erica was 7 1/2 months pregnant with her twins. As the years have gone by our trips have become a little more mellow. We used to go out on 6th street, but now we are in bed by 10! The one thing that has stayed to same is that we always go to San Marcos to the outlet mall. It seems like every year the outlet mall gets more crowded. It was so crazy this year, we skipped out on a few of our favorite shops! This year was also a little different because I brought Carter. I brought him because it was just easier to have him with me since I am nursing. He was such a little trooper! He was so good, even though he was cutting his first tooth! Friday night I felt in his mouth and sure enough, I felt his first tooth at the surface. When we got to the hotel, we looked and there was a little white ridge. What a special memory.

Erica and Carter at the Round Rock Outlets, our first shopping stop!
Here is Carter eating at Chuys. He had fun staring at the table next to us where the ladies had a few too many margaritas! They kept calling our waiter "Alex" because as the lady said, "he looked like her brother's friend Alex". As for Carter, he kept our table lively, by grabbing his baby food jar of pears, and throwing them on the ground. Never a dull moment!

Relaxing in front of Chuys. Sound asleep at the hotel Not enjoying the bath at the hotel. Yes, I had a towel under him!

Eating breakfast at Einsteins bagels. Carter had his first bagel.

Carter loved all the Bevos at the Co-op

The rocking chair said "Future UT Graduate". Carter actually rocked himself in the chair. How did he know to do that?

Carter fell asleep shopping!

Waiting for Erica to try on her jeans at Nordstrom

Eating Zweiback (spelling?) toast.

After the long drive home on Sunday, we had Thanksgiving dinner at Grammy and Pops house. Carter liked green beans the best! Sorry I didn't get any family photos!
