*Carter is very particular about what he wears. He doesn't like to wear anything that is the least bit uncomfortable. He would prefer to wear "basketball" shorts or pants every day. He hates long sleeves and insists that you roll them up for him. I made him out on these jeans and shirt for the pictures, and had to promise he could immediatly change back into his "comfy" pants!
*Carter is super snuggly. He likes to lay in bed and "snuggle" with me. I love it. He also loves his back scratched and the top of his ear rubbed.
*He is really into making sure we only say nice things. The other day while driving I called a lady and idiot (oops!!) and he talks about it all the time. "Mommy called that lady an idiot and that is not a nice word to say." Yikes. We also find ourselves saying "stupid" and getting corrected by him!
*Carter is very physical, not artsy. I have tried on so many occasions to sit down and draw with him, but it is short lived. He would much rather be outside riding bikes or playing "baseball." He loves Kris to take him in the back yard and have batting practice with him. Every time he hits the ball, he throws the bat down and runs. He loves to have Kris chase him! We didn't even carve a pumpkin this year because he wanted to play baseball instead!
*While we haven't really gone into expalaining that I am having a baby, we ask him is he wants a baby brother or baby sister. He almost always says he want a brother and wants to name him Carson. Other name suggestions we have gotten have been: Five and Ironman.
*Carter thinks he is very fast. He loves to run and race everyone. I would say he has a pretty good self image.
*He is still a little parrot and loves to copy what daddy and Colt say. If I repeat soemthing he says, he will say, "Stop copying me. It's so annoying." Think he's heard that somewhere before?
*Carter is still a pretty picky eater. He has a major sweet tooth and loves Recces Cups. He also loves: penut butter crackers, peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches, apples (without the skin), Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal, Chicken Fired Rice, Cheese Pizza, croutons, V-8 Fusion juice,grapes, strawberries, Cheese Quesdillas, Chips and Queso, waffles with peanut butter, blueberry yogurt, ice cream, cheesburgers and fries.
*Carter loves movies! He spent the night with my mom the other night and she had Colt and Carter wtaching Toy Story. Colt fell asleep and Carter didn't. Some of his favs right now are: The Nightmare Before Christmas, Peter Pan, Toy Story 3 and How To Train Your Dragon. He gets into a movie and wants to watch it over and over again!
*Carter is doing great in school this year and loves his teacher Mrs. Ashman. His class has 6 boys and only 2 girls. His best freind is Cade, but he tends to get in trouble with him. They are very rough, hitting, pushing and last week biting! I was mortified to get an email that Carter had bit his buddy! He broke the skin. Carter claims that he got bitten first, but we are trying to teach him to not retaliate, but to tell the teacher! He definatly got grounded for that one!
*When you ask him what he wants for Christmas he says, "A hound dog. I already have two hound dogs and I want to have 3." He LOVES LOVES LOVES animals! He is so naturally drawn to them. Fenway has always been good with Carter and now Wrigley is getting better. Yesterday Fenway came up to Carter and put her head under his hand so that he would pet her. It was so sweet.
This last picture sums up Carter's newest obsession, and I hate it! Kris introduced his to video games and he loves them. He has always been really into anything electronic, so the PS3 is right up his alley! He has a Toy Story 3 game and a race car game. H loves to pick out his character for the racing game. He loves to be Spiderman. We have definatly had to put a time limit to the game using th timer as well as had to use it as a form of punishment, he has alreay been grounded!
