Six Flags

We went to Six Flags for the first time this season on Memorial Day with the Stewart family. We got there right when it opened to try to beat the crowds. We were sucessful and were able to let the little ones ride about every ride in Looney Tune land without a wait. As the day wore on it got very crowded and very hot, so we called it an early day and went to lunch. It was a fun day!

Memorial Day party at the Zeilers!

The Zeilers had a fun Memorial Day party at their house. We had fun swimmming and visiting with everyone!

Carter loved swimming with Colt. It was his first swim of the season. He jumped right into the hot tub not realzing how deep it was in the middle and gave himself quite a scare. Colt had to rescue him! After that it took him a little while to get warmed up to the water, but one he did, he didn't want to leave!

Sierra enjoyed taking care of Abby. She is so good with her!

6 weeks!

This has been a busy week since I started back to work! Since I started back to work, Abby had her first official bottle this week. While I am at school she drinks two 3 1/2 ounce bottles. She took to the bottle right away and has not had any problems transitioning between the bottle and nursing. Her sleeping in still inconsistent. Some nights she is up every four hours and then other nights she sleeps eight hour stretches. Last night she slept from 8:30-5. I would like this to be the new normal!
She is still pretty grumpy in the evenings, but I think it is starting to get a little better. My favorite thing about this week is that she has started smiling! She gives a sweet smile here and there in response to us and I can't wait to see more and more of them. She has started doing a little cooing, but I know that will pick up more soon as well.
She loves her swing and loves to look up at her reflection in the top of the swing. When she is awake she has the widest, brightest eyes and seems to be taking everything in. Carter sure has been helpful and she always turns her head to his voice. We feel lucky to have such a sweet girl!

Bumbo!

Abby sat in her Bumbo seat for the first time today. She wasn't too sure what to think of it!

5 weeks!

Time is flying and Abby is 5 weeks old!. She is changing so much every day and here lately I feel like she is getting so big. When she went to the doctor on Tuesday she weighed 10 pounds 4 ounces! She is still a good eater and nurses about every 3 hours during the day and is going longer stretches at night. I usually give her a bath and have her in bed about 9. She then will wake up once between 2 and 4, then will eat and go right back to sleep until she is up for good about 7. She has seemed to gotten really spoiled and loves to be held! She is still pretty grumpy from about 6-8 in the evening. At this time she can be clamed down, but isn't too content unless she's being held, or sometimes if she is in her swing. She loves her paci and loves to be in the Baby B'Jorn! I have been wearing her in it a lot in early evening grumpy time. She has also seemed to start noticing who is holding her and can be fussy when it's not me!

Last day of preschool!

Carter had his last day of school today. He has had a great year and I am sad to see it end. I feel like he has really grown and developed so much this school year.


Carter with his awesome teacher Mrs. Ashman. We were so blessed to have her as a teacher. She is so kind and laid back and does such neat activities with the kids. She always has them cooking, playing games and listening to stories!

I have been loving this beautiful weather! We have been trying to spend as much time outside as possible. We have really loved walks to the park!

Carter got his bike all ready for the trip to the park! He made sure to pack: 2 books, a water bottle, bandaids in case he got hurt, some "guys", his Spiderman glove and some Kleenex (in case he has a "bless you")

Happy one month Abby Paige!

All day I meant to take a picture of my sweet girl on her one month birthday, but I never got around to it. So, I took this picture of her after she went to sleep. I love the way she sleeps with her hands over her head (just like her big brother and her mama) and her crazy after bath hair!
