Christmas Day

Kris parents drove from Midland to see us Christmas day. They had a long drive, but Carter was happy to see them! Once again, I just got a few not so great pictures!

Christmas Eve with the family

We had a really nice Christmas Eve with my family...the only problem is that I only have two pictures to prove it. Pretty sad I know. We met my mom, dad and brothers for dinner and then went to the Christmas Eve service at church. Then we came back to my parents house for presents. We had such a nice time and I'm sad I didn't document it better.

and Carter with his "hook em horns" shirt from Cody and Austin. I got an awesome UT Snuggie from my brothers that I am having to fight for between the Carter and the dogs. Our drive home was SO scary. The 5 mile drive took us an hour with cars sliding everywhere. Luckily Kris' Expedition has 4 wheel drive and we made it safely home!

Carter wrote a letter to Santa

and he was so excited to get it!

Snow!

On Christmas Eve it snowed! At first I didn't think it would stick, but then it snowed all day long. It was such a surprise since it was in the seventies the day before. Carter was SO excited, but we only stayed out a little while becasue it was sooooooo cold! All bundled up!

Santa!

Carter and I met Shawna, Corbin, Gage, Joey, Lincoln, Erica, Emma and Ella at Northpark. Our plan was to listen to Santa's story time, get a picture with Santa, see the trains and eat at Chuys......well we only got to do 2 of the 4 things because it was CRAZY ccrowded!! I got there at 9:40 to get a number for Santa and they told me I could come back at 6:30....no kidding, they started giving numbers out at 9. So Carter and I sercured a good spot for stortytime, which was really neat. We then headed to the trains where the line was forever log, so we gave up and headed to Chuys for a yummy lunch.

At one point (at Build a Bear- which was insanely crowded) I thought Erica was going to have a nervous breakdown! We learned our lesson...never go to the mall on Christmas Eve-Eve!

Carter and I joined my mom, Colt, Erica, Caden, Carson, Emma and Ella for a ride on theNorth Pole Express. All the kids were SO excited!

I took them morning off to watch Carter sing at his school program and go to his party. I was a little worried that he was going to get upset when he saw me at the program, but he did a great job! I didn't get very good pictures because there were so many other parents in my way!

Carter had so much fun decoraring Christmas cookies! He worked and concentrated so hard while putting the icing on and the had fun shaking the sprinkles on, but his FAVORITE part was licking the icing off the spoon after he was finished!

Proud Mommy

Carter's teacher always sends home the nicest notes. I absolutely love to get them, Last Thursday this note came home and I just had to share. He makes me so proud. :)
"I'm calling Carter "Mr. Responsible." He has been very independent in cleaning up after himself lately. And this week he helped me in any way he could without being asked. Today on the was to throw away his trash, he stopped and took mine as well. He also helps me put the mats away and wipe the table. He is a sweetheart! Today we read the Christmas Story and he was sure to tell me that the baby was Jesus every time I turned the page! He really takes pride in his artwork and enjoys making a lot of Christmas crafts to decorate out wills! Sincerely, Mrs. Miller"

Thanksgiving weekend at the lake

We headed up tp Oklahoma on Friday to have Thanksgiving with Kris' family. We had a nice time. I didn't get anypictures of us eating our actual meal, but a lot of pictures of our fun!
