Mmmm, beans!

Tonight Carter and I met Tolson at Gloria's for dinner on the patio. We had such a nice time. Carter especially enjoyed the beans!

OOOOOO-klahoma!

This weekend while Kris was busy hosting a poker tournament at our house, my mom, Colt and I headed up to Oklahoma to visit Stacy. We had a great time! I even got to go to the OU game- don't worry, I only wear the OU shirt when I'm in Norman! Here is the story of our weekend in pictures!

Bubble!

I read in my Parenting magazine that around 18 months babies start picking up 2 new words a day. That was hard for me to believe because I have been feeling like Carter has hit a wall with his verbal skills. Well, today he started saying two new words. "Uh-oh" (that was a little late in coming) and bubble- his first 2 syllable word! The first time I tried to video- he wouldn't say it, so I had to get out actual bubbles for him to say it. Please excuse his hair- he had just woken up!
*Note- I meant for the videos to be in reverse order, but I messed up and they take so long to download, I'm not messing with it. So on the first video he is saying bubble and the next he is telling me, no he won't preform!

Happy belated birthday mom!

On Sunday Erica and I went with my mom to celebrate her belated birthday! We ate a yummy dinner at Uncle Julio's and then saw The Women. We had a great time despite the fact that the movie was terrible. I am so lucky to have such a great mom. She quit her job to watch Carter. Thanks to her, I don't ever worry about my little man while I am work. She has always been there for me! I am so lucky! Happy Birthday to the best mom ever- she is my "baborite" mom- as I used to say when I was little!

My new love...

is Photoshop! I finally got it and I love the way it can make my pictures look! I am still experimenting and have a lot of learn. I met my mom out at the Nature Preserve today so that I could take pictures and then play with them in Photoshop. I think they turned out pretty good!
