Our trip to Midland

We headed over to Midland for a few days to celebrate Christmas with Kris' grandpaents. They are past the point of being able to travel, so we went to see them. It was quite a long drive, but we made it thanks to one of Carter's early Christmas presents, a DVD player. He loved watching Barney, Toy Story, Cars and Monster's Inc. on the trip both ways. He slept a total of 1 1/2 hours during the 10 hours we were in the car. Needless to say, I was busy keeping him entertained (since he really doesn't sit through a whole show except Barney)with books and stickers for much of the time!
We had a nice time while we were there, though Carter had a cold and was a little grouchy. I have found that once you have kids, everything turns into an adventure!

Are we there yet?

Oh, yeah and the other thing that kept him entertained was food!

Gram and Gramps let him open a present early.

He has gotten past being upset about tearing paper, and now loves it!

He got a new puzzle!
